Tarp Crew/ Night Shift (seasonal) in Tailem Bend SA
on 25 March 2020
Long hour days but a very fun working environment
A very hands on active job, covering and securing the produce (grain) keeping up to date to make sure we don't lose any of the product due to weather or animals and keeping everything clean due to health and safety. Depending on the season up to 8 to 10 hour shift, consisting of 6 days a week, but in saying that a very enjoyable working environment with great supervisor's and management. Learnt to work in a fast past environment developing my manual/labour skills, building my team leadership skills and becoming more confident to sharing my input and ideas with the working crew.

Stupid interviews
Promote no hoppers. Don't recognise high achievers. Supervisor don't have the understanding of the working environment. Cost cutting to a point where operating became difficult
Viterra Harvest in Crystal Brook SA
on 24 March 2020
Good work place
it was a causal job just for the 2018 harvest and it was a very good job. They days were slow as the harvest was slow that year however the work was easy and the work place was relaxed
Harvest Worker in Bowmans SA
on 5 February 2020
Easy Money, largely relaxed environment.
Usually time is spent cleaning around the site, which is simple for the good pay of a harvest casual. Easy to learn the required responsibilities. Can become stressful when busy, however after gaining experience that becomes far less stressful.
Grain Classifier in Walpeup VIC
on 31 January 2020
Would do it again if I'm available.
Was a good job for the time it lasted. Pity the 2018-2019 harvest season was so short.
Would have done it again had I been available, and the Walpeup site not been closed down.
