They want results but you can only give them what they allow you to achieve. Poor planning and very poor management from the top down. there is no more to add.

life with this company is painful, i got a pat on the back for my 5 years' service and then was sacked 1 week later for cost cutting .

Not a fun place to work

Project Manager (Current Employee) - Fly in from Perth to camp - 23 April 2020

I would not recommend Westgold to other people. A typical day was to get up at 4:10am and spend 14 hours on site. I was responsible for the health and safety of the team.

Working here was alright. Seen worse

Mine Geologist (Former Employee) - Cue, Meekatharra, Fortnum - 26 June 2023

Been to a few cowboy shows but this wasn't the worst. Management left me alone to do my work. Most of the people were good. Have scaled back operation in a few places. Corporate management can be a bit detached sometimes.

Good bunch to work with.

Cons

Poor accomodation, food average, below par pay rates.

You propably won't be there long.

Geology Technician (Former Employee) - Perth Central Business District WA - 23 March 2023

Wasn't there long enough. Wasn't bad, I guess, but a lot of people just building up their experience until they can get somewhere better!They are a big company, got quite a few sites, so I guess it depends where you go..Like always. Watch out for the Geo that look like an Egg.
