its a work what do you expect for really tired and, and not pay too high sometime they pay late. but overall it was a good working experience. If I was you right now who looking for a job ( student who wanna make some money himself) I still choose it.

I’ve worked here for over 10 years and it continually gets worse. If you miss high school drama, and like listening to everyone talk badly behind everyone else’s back, then this is the job for you.

Pros

It’s not a hard job, as long as it’s not understaffed.

Cons

You’ve got to suck up big time if you want to get anywhere.

Management was a problem for me - they’d constantly guilt-trip me into working overtime all the time. It got to the point where they’d beg for me to stay back or bag an additional shift every. single. shift I was there. Eventually, I put my foot down and began to say no to some shifts and yes, as expected, they ended up dropping the sweet & desperate act and became so rude & unappreciative.

I am almost 3 years work at Woolworths. As immigrant with English my second language, it’s challenging for me to adapt every new thing at the store. Early first month, I didn’t have enough hour, so I asked my manager for more work hour. Then she put more hours and then now I am part time permanent. I am so grateful have a great team at deli. They’re all accepting my as they’re team and family. Not always smooth but we are good team.Thank you Woolworths for opportunity for me as your team work.

Pros

Every Christmas, Easter and Mother’s Day always get chocolate 🍫… so appreciate about these.

Started off doing customer service for three years before being offered a apprenticeship. Completed my apprenticeship early with the help of management. Due to woolworths meat going pre pack most butchers including myself were made redundant.

Woolworths as a job is fast paced, stressful at times and customers can be a bit hard on you at times. Work teams are great at times but can also slack off while you are working hard. Management can be a little slack also and not give the best possible leadership as they should be. My overall review on my experience was great and you can learn a lot to make you a more effective worker.

Company pays well but has lost touch with its staff. You do not feel like a valued employee but just a number. The is no life/work balance once you are on Salary. IT is made very clear that if you don't do the hours or the state roster then you can leave. It's about what the business needs not the Staff member. Salary staff are constantly threatened with losing their job.

very challenging workplace

This job required patience and toleration for many different types of people and their backgrounds, beliefs etc. You need to be effective in your roll for things to run smoothly. Most of the people you work with are very enjoyable and bubbly people, the customers (most of them), are also very bubbly and chatty, which makes your shift easier to get through on a busy day.

typical shift is fast paced with various jobs from cleaning to customer service questions, I have learnt to multi skill and management are very supportive to developing your interest in gaining new skills. they provide a great work place environment the hardest part of the job is leaving at the end of your shift. the most enjoyable part of the job is seeing all the public that enjoy using this service.
