Great place to work, just a bad area with high school students always trying to shoplift.Other than that good management and everyone is super helpful :)

Good first job

Good place for a first job with pretty good pay. Worst part is not getting any shifts for ages or just getting 3 hour shifts. As well as always getting asked to come in asap.

Relaxed environment but not a lot of room to upskill

I enjoyed my time working at Woolworths for the most part. The only critical thing I can think to say is that they are not very understanding or flexible when it comes to taking time off work for personal reasons.

it’s ok

the job isn’t too bad but the management is terrible, always staffing you alone and finding things to complain about or just targeting you. the store assistant manager currently is a horrid person.

Meh place to work

When I started out at Woolworths, I really enjoyed it and was getting the shifts I asked for. However, there came a point were they did a massive hiring and I started getting less shifts until the point I only got 1 shift a week. As a student about to graduate high school, this is incredibly annoying. I think the reason they don’t give me many shifts anymore is because the people they hired, though around my age, most of them don’t do school and have much more availability than me. Also I am constantly asked to work on days I have said I was unavailable (I am a casual worker) and turning them down makes me look bad but I have too. Also there isn’t really any work culture, well at least from my view which kinda sucks. But ehh

Pros

The rewards card benefits, the casual pay rate

Cons

Long hours, shifts are limited, no work culture, expected stuff outside work hours (as casual)

Can be stressful especially when under staffed

Overall it was nice, the people were okay but at times it was stressful especially when it came to rush hours, most of the time people were willing to help but others would be of no help.

Terrible place for to work

No chance of career progression or full time employment no matter what the EBA says. Can be trusted to train other people to do a job you're not employed to do.

Great place to work for people of all ages

What is the best part of working at the company?Reliability, reputation for quality and ongoing customer satisfaction What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Shortage of products and frustration at spiralling costs and prices What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Very good. Employees do care in the vast majority and it is pleasing to be part of that What is a typical day like for you at the company?Hectic. In the meat department I had to think on my feet and respond quickly and accurately

Decent uni job

Low pay, some great coworkers. Management sometimes inflexible and sometimes flexible. Overall a good part time job but i can imagine full time being draining

Good

Woolworths Thornleigh consistently impresses with its well-organized aisles and fresh produce. The staff are always approachable, offering assistance when needed. The store's cleanliness and efficient checkout process further enhance the shopping experience. A top choice for local grocery needs.

Pretty average

It’s a good job pretty boring at times . I worked there during covid and before then it was a good team and very understanding that I was still at school all the time but they never followed the legal requirements for work hours

Fair

It's good for while, but somethimes the work is tiring and the managers are okay, but the hours and pay is honestly not thats worth it, but good if there is nothing else
