Flexible work schedule

Great places to work as a Mum it’s flexible with the Family routines day in day out. Lots of opportunities to the right Candidates and cross store work opportunities which allows plenty of shifts available

Decent casual job, terrible long term

As a first causal job its fine, but after 2 years ot starts getting draining, pay isn’t great and no matter how much work you put in theres no opportunity to move up.

Okay first job

Fast paced, slow career building if hand picked for positions. Long hours but various shift. Okay pay but sustainable. Workload large and ever growing

challenging and fun

Woolworths is a good provider but might be challenging at times but with the right team it is an everyday job. Tough at times but need to be able to stay calm and carry on.

Relaxed environment but not a lot of room to upskill

I enjoyed my time working at Woolworths for the most part. The only critical thing I can think to say is that they are not very understanding or flexible when it comes to taking time off work for personal reasons.

Meh place to work

When I started out at Woolworths, I really enjoyed it and was getting the shifts I asked for. However, there came a point were they did a massive hiring and I started getting less shifts until the point I only got 1 shift a week. As a student about to graduate high school, this is incredibly annoying. I think the reason they don’t give me many shifts anymore is because the people they hired, though around my age, most of them don’t do school and have much more availability than me. Also I am constantly asked to work on days I have said I was unavailable (I am a casual worker) and turning them down makes me look bad but I have too. Also there isn’t really any work culture, well at least from my view which kinda sucks. But ehh

Pros

The rewards card benefits, the casual pay rate

Cons

Long hours, shifts are limited, no work culture, expected stuff outside work hours (as casual)

Can be stressful especially when under staffed

Overall it was nice, the people were okay but at times it was stressful especially when it came to rush hours, most of the time people were willing to help but others would be of no help.

Terrible place for to work

No chance of career progression or full time employment no matter what the EBA says. Can be trusted to train other people to do a job you're not employed to do.

Good in general

Good in general, They were very attentive and quick to respond. You have to be sure about what position you would like in the company and make sure it aligns with their job opportunities and values.

The most enjoyed part of the work and have fun with the job

Like if I'm working with the groups and the work like we can have fun and do as we have learned about the job and have joy together and love and care and help each other as we can and nor hate each other and respect and be kind to our teams like as we love to find something special as we can have joy work hard and hard

Fun busy workplace

Fun place to work meeting lots of different and interesting people. Busy but makes the shifts go faster always something to learn. Must like people as interacting with customers is important.

Okay job

Good use of staff discount and easy enough job. Too much focus on scanning quickly and often understaffed. Good people to work with. Opportunities to develop career if you want to.

I’m sure there would be other stores that are better than ours

What is the best part of working at the company?Discounts and the flexible hours What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The politics of it all really gets everyone frustrated What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Not that great, sometimes it’s okWhat is a typical day like for you at the company?Frustration, annoyance and cleaning up after others and fixing their mistakes

okay

Good place to start but gets older quick. It's a mixed bag, you work with good managers, you will have a good time, you get the hot head and power trippers, then your life gets miserable.
