challenging and fun
manager (Current Employee) - nt - 13 November 2023
Woolworths is a good provider but might be challenging at times but with the right team it is an everyday job. Tough at times but need to be able to stay calm and carry on.

Relaxed environment but not a lot of room to upskill
Customer Service Team Member (Former Employee) - Kyabram VIC - 13 November 2023
I enjoyed my time working at Woolworths for the most part. The only critical thing I can think to say is that they are not very understanding or flexible when it comes to taking time off work for personal reasons.

Meh place to work
Customer Service (Current Employee) - Mount Hawthorn WA - 9 November 2023
When I started out at Woolworths, I really enjoyed it and was getting the shifts I asked for. However, there came a point were they did a massive hiring and I started getting less shifts until the point I only got 1 shift a week. As a student about to graduate high school, this is incredibly annoying. I think the reason they don’t give me many shifts anymore is because the people they hired, though around my age, most of them don’t do school and have much more availability than me. Also I am constantly asked to work on days I have said I was unavailable (I am a casual worker) and turning them down makes me look bad but I have too. Also there isn’t really any work culture, well at least from my view which kinda sucks. But ehh
Pros
The rewards card benefits, the casual pay rate
Cons
Long hours, shifts are limited, no work culture, expected stuff outside work hours (as casual)

Can be stressful especially when under staffed
Customer Service (Former Employee) - Cannington WA - 8 November 2023
Overall it was nice, the people were okay but at times it was stressful especially when it came to rush hours, most of the time people were willing to help but others would be of no help.

Terrible place for to work
Customer Service Assistant (Former Employee) - Elizabeth SA - 4 November 2023
No chance of career progression or full time employment no matter what the EBA says. Can be trusted to train other people to do a job you're not employed to do.

Good in general
Project Manager (Former Employee) - Sydney NSW - 2 November 2023
Good in general, They were very attentive and quick to respond. You have to be sure about what position you would like in the company and make sure it aligns with their job opportunities and values.

Okay job
Service Assistant (Current Employee) - Sydney NSW - 27 October 2023
Good use of staff discount and easy enough job. Too much focus on scanning quickly and often understaffed. Good people to work with. Opportunities to develop career if you want to.

The politics of it all really gets everyone frustrated What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Not that great, sometimes it’s ok What is a typical day like for you at the company? Frustration, annoyance and cleaning up after others and fixing their mistakes

okay
nightfill (Current Employee) - Sydney NSW - 15 October 2023
Good place to start but gets older quick. It's a mixed bag, you work with good managers, you will have a good time, you get the hot head and power trippers, then your life gets miserable.
