Lovely coworkers, questionable upper management
Integration Architect (Former Employee) –  Livonia, MI18 June 2019
Great coworkers, great middle management. Upper management seemed disconnected from what was happening internally and did not follow through on multiple internal initiatives, including hourly-based bonuses. Nice kitchen/snacks. Services team kept far too separated from product and sales.

Almost a company
Implementation Consultant/Project Manager (Former Employee) –  Work at Home13 August 2018
Workforce Software has unbelievably good employee's that are left almost completely in the dark by management. If you're a SW developer this is a great opportunity. Everyone else is basically expendable.
Pros
Can't really think of any unless you're a SW developer.
Cons
Can I say, almost everything?

Good company
Application Consultant (Current Employee) –  Livonia, MI16 April 2018
Growing pains in a "young" company. Not much training, but it's getting better. They do work well with work/life balance, and the lower management tries hard to help team members. It seems to be too top heavy in management.
Pros
time off
Cons
upper management & job training

Great place to work if they added more staff
Senior Global IT Projects (Current Employee) –  Livonia, MI20 February 2018
I enjoyed my time working at WFS, the clients were the best, the software solution was pretty smart. The biggest problem with WFS is the lack of personnel. The company keeps hiring more directors, VP, and senior VP. They lack enough technicians to support, implement and handle maintenance. It seems the company is trying to get as many clients sign up and getting ready to sell the company to SAP without a huge backlog of implementations.

Productive and fun workplace, but Constant employee cuts are destroying morale.
Project Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Livonia, MI5 February 2018
Good work environment, generous time off.
Opportunities for advancement are limited.
Key people are spread too thinly, due to growing pains and firing/hiring spurts
Constant employee cuts are destroying morale.
Each department seems to do their own thing and nothing is cohesive or consistent across the company
Directions seem to shift to often. Hiring like crazy one year and laying off the next year.
Constant cycles of hiring and layoffs with little to no visible strategy
Many talented employee have quit
Talented, hard-working people are laid off while others who frequently accomplish so little
Workload has ballooned with fewer people
Entire staff is punished with lower bonuses when a few key departments have dropped the ball.
Get cut-throat office politics and backstabbing under control.

Unprofessional Management - cannot be trusted outside of technical product area.
Awful sales agreements - cannot be delivered on time or within budge

Tools Development Team Manager (Former Employee) –  Livonia, MI30 January 2018
This is a company that uses and develops leading edge software. The pace is very fast. This is both the best and the hardest part of working there. The people there are generous with their knowledge and skills.
Pros
New Tech, great tools

Diverse work population
Sr Implementation Consultant (Current Employee) –  Michigan24 January 2018
Days are laden with constant meetings, therefore the actual work needs to be completed after hours. Occasionally this is understood, however this is a the constant state.
The work force is quiet diverse in culture and age, the compensation plan is fair yet they have a hard time holding on to experienced talent. There is a high level of turnover.
Workforce works hard to be involved in local charities and does great work in this area, Christmas for the less fortunate, backpacks for school, partnering with local school to provide mentor ship.
Pros
kitchen fully stocked with fresh healthy snacks
Cons
constant change

Vice President of Services (Current Employee) –  Detroit, MI12 December 2017
Corporate office environment is like being with family. Plenty of company events, lunches, snacks, charities. Activities both at work and after contribute to the collaboration with peers.

Excellent company
Accounting/Marketing Intern (Former Employee) –  Livonia, MI12 June 2017
The hours were very flexible. Management was accessible and responsive, and coworkers were generally welcoming, friendly, and collaborated readily. It's a software company, which should speak volumes of the culture. The building is in a good location and is quite clean and well-maintained. There also seems to be good mobility within the company.

Went downhill fast
Manager (Former Employee) –  Livonia, MI5 June 2017
Initially I was given a free hand by the founders of the company, to do what needed to be done. Eventually, the company was sold to an investment firm, a new CEO was brought in and the founders were pushed out of the business.
Pros
Flexible work - life blend
Cons
Short sighted upper management

WorkForce Software
Project Manager State of Rhode Island Impl (Former Employee) –  Providence, RI7 October 2016
Working with the folks at WorkForce (implementation consultants, IT resources, PMs, and ACs) in Livonia, MI helped me become a better project manager and business analyst.

Typically, my day involved corralling the implementation team at the client (State of RI) and emphasizing the need for better participation by the State. Not only did I keep the State on-track, I kept the resources at WorkForce on-track, and we worked together to efficiently move the project closer to the finish line.

Though the scope of the project was beyond what was in the SOW, I'm happy to have had the opportunity to work with such great people at WorkForce. They're very professional, and the culture there is always emphasizing improvements in client servicing.

I hope to have the opportunity to work with WorkForce employees again, and even though the company is growing, they're managing their growth professionally and take care of their employees.

Great firm to work at from an outsider's point of view, as I was not an employee but traveled to MI and experienced the culture in-person.

It's okay, not great. People are good, salary okay, management not so great. Hardest part is managing people. Easiest part is missing.

Productive company that balances work and real life well.
Administrative Technician (Current Employee) –  Livonia, MI18 June 2015
The atmosphere generated is positive and comfortable. Employees can work a flexible schedule and wear casual dress as long as it is still workplace appropriate.

Management is very energetic and involved, but not to the point of micromanagement.
Pros
Flexible daily schedule, company sponsored activities
Cons
mediocre benefits

Great place to work but seems to have fallen into the trap of growing fast, hiring too many people, and then suffering from a couple of lean sales quarters.

Good place to work though lots of growing pains
Senior Project Manager, Professional Services (Current Employee) –  Irvine, CA4 May 2014
WFS is a very good place to work with some very good people. The product and underlying technology cannot be beat in its niche - workforce management. Company growth has been incredible and only keeps getting bigger and better. Unfortunately, there have been quite a few growing pains with many issues that still need to be addressed. Potential is excellent, but management has been slow to realize it and fix issues to make everybody more productive. Overall though the people are great to work with and everybody really does try to succeed.
Pros
Excellent growth and potential, hardworking people, easy to talk to management
Cons
Poor HR, no general training, performance reviews are random
