Great pay
AIN (Assistant in Nursing) (Current Employee) - Queensland - 4 April 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedNot enough shifts for someone to survive or depend on. Keep canceling shift. They pay well but sometimes you will stay a week no shift unless you accept shifts 104k away from your house.

Rio Tinto Trades Assistant (Current Employee) - Paraburdoo WA - 11 March 2023
I was very nervous about starting as I had only just come from a supervisor role in housekeeping. But my new team mate and supervisor even the superintendent gave me so much support and in addition all the team at MEM are always so supportive and helpful very easy to approach I have been there for 5 mths now I have found my feet and absolutely feel like a valuable part of our team
Pros
8/6 rosters
Cons
Having to pay for extra uniform as ours get destroyed very quickly

They say one thing to get you keen then do another once you're there. Unsupportive
Underground Operator (Former Employee) - Appin NSW - 28 January 2023
As a female going into the underground mining industy, I was excited by the opportunity and keen as mustard to learn new skills and get in and have a go. During the initial training I was offered a shift and role that I agreed to. When it came time to take up I was given the only shift I didn't want and a different role. There was no support from the company just unfulfilled promises. I found the company untrustworthy
Pros
Willing to give me a start, paid training, PPE supplied, potential for fair wages
Cons
Untrustworthy, unsupportive, reduced wages during training, disorganised management

Poor communication
Mobile Plant Operator (Former Employee) - Lang Lang VIC - 11 January 2023
Extremely poor communication. Constant error's in hour's worked compared to hour's they will pay you for. And every week they would pay the wrong rate. So you would contact them and they would give you the run around. They wouldn't supply PPE even though they were ment to. I went all winter without wet weather gear. Then summer rolled around and they sent me out full wet weather gear....

All in all , a trustworthy company to work for
Haul Truck Operator (Current Employee) - Gove - 20 December 2022
I’m a haul truck operator under WorkPac. The recruiting process was smooth, site manager is helpful. The only thing is that the pay rate varies significantly for different mining sites. A good company to work for if you want to kick start your career in mining

Plenty of work
Trades Assistant (Current Employee) - Darwin NT - 31 October 2022
Placed at a job pretty quickly and was plenty of work around with them. Only been with them for 6 weeks but the office is willing to help if there's any issues onsite or with pays.
Pros
Decent hourly rates
Cons
Not much FIFO work in NT

Productive and fun workplace
Dump Truck Operator (Former Employee) - Cairns QLD - 21 June 2022
Staff wasn't sure what they were doing, only speak to the people they like. Not there to help other work colleagues; only there to throw you under the bus! No support for their workers. ⭐⭐

they thrive off people being desperate to have a job & make big dollars while the worker gets stuff all.
Operator (Former Employee) - Groote Eylandt NT - 26 January 2022
No room for advancement - Sometimes they are not there when you need them most. Often takes a while for them to return your call. And don't forget, NO Sick Leave and No Annual Leave
Cons
Management can be better

Have not been paid.
Worker (Former Employee) - Adelaide CBD SA - 24 June 2021
I’ve made multiple requests for my pay, it’s been 2 weeks since working and still no pay. Have contacted on multiple occasions and have been lied to each time. Do not work for these people.

They are more interested in their own jobs
Labour Hire (Current Employee) - Australia - 8 December 2020
Their culture is very orientated towards making sure money rolls in for their own jobs as recruiters. "Employees" are often left to fight for themselves and are treated as just an object to fill a slot ensuring they get payed by the contractor. Your personal needs or rights are not considered. There is no way to get a secure job with them and they find loopholes to keep you casually employed with irregular hours. I would only work for them if you are desperate - that's their perfect employee anyway.

Very good site experience

The consultant I spoke with was very clear with me and referred me to other work which was suitable to my experience. This gave me the opportunity to take up full time work with another company.

Cons
Short term contracts

Not great
MINING OPERATOR (Former Employee) - Emerald QLD - 20 May 2020
While working is a great thing, but when they have a reputation to just lay you off when things don't go well with client it leaves unhappy people, casual is ok but not with them.
