Empower Holistic Health is a registered NDIS provider based in Sunshine Coast offering individually tailored Disability and Community Support Services.

Our team delivers all our services with respect, integrity and heart, putting the People we support at the centre of everything we do. We take pride in providing unsurpassed personalised support solutions to individuals across Australia.

About the Position

As a Support Worker, you will be required to provide high-quality services to the people we support in their own home, disability accommodation (SIL) and in the community.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Assist to build independent living skills
  • Assist clients with access to community and recreation facilities
  • Provide personal administration support, such as banking and shopping
  • Provide personal care assistance including showering and dressing
  • Aid with housework and other areas of daily living including preparation of meals
  • Support clients to meet medical care needs

You also need to be prepared to use your own vehicle for travel and community access.

Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience working in care support services or a similar environment
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Individual Support or related field
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve in a changeable environment
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.

Requirements 

  • Valid Working with Children and Yellow Card (NDIS Worker Screening Check)
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • Current valid drivers license
  • Evidence of Australian work rights
