Job Description
As an Intern within our Transmission & Distribution team, you will support primary and secondary substation design across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), gaining exposure to the breadth of T&D electrical engineering so you can explore your interests and potential career path with us.
You will work alongside a supportive, experienced team and high-calibre clients, assisting with substation electrical design tasks and studies such as grounding, lightning protection, and introductory power systems analysis. Each week will bring new learning opportunities and real project experience.
How you’ll make a difference:
- Assist with substation primary/secondary design inputs and draft brief sections of reports/specifications under guidance.
- Join supervised site visits and basic testing (e.g., soil resistivity), then capture and organise field data for design use.
- Providing construction support during the build phase while collaborating across multiple disciplines to deliver projects
- Supporting project delivery by preparing budget estimates and ensuring outputs meet time, quality, and cost objectives
What Our Summer Internship Program Offers
- 12-week paid internship (mid-November to mid-February)
- Real project experience: Contribute to meaningful work and apply your university learning to real-world projects from day one.

- Bachelor’s Degree: You must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Electrical Engineering.
