Managing Indeed Browser Notifications

Indeed browser notifications are short alerts sent to your computer or phone. They keep you updated on interview times, calls and job post changes, even when Indeed is not open in your browser. In this article, we'll explain how to turn browser notifications on or off. We'll also help fix issues if you're not getting notifications.

Turn on browser notifications

When you sign in to Indeed, a pop-up may appear asking if you want notifications.

  1. Click or tap Turn on notifications or Notify me in the pop-up.
  2. When your browser asks for permission, click Allow.

You'll start getting Indeed notifications right away.

Notifications are set per device. If you log in on a different device, repeat these steps on that device too.

Turn off browser notifications

You can stop Indeed notifications at any time through your browser settings.

Select your browser for step-by-step instructions:

  • Google Chrome
  • Firefox
  • Safari
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Opera
Turned on notifications on more than one device? You'll need to turn them off on each device, one at a time.

Troubleshooting

Issue: I enabled browser notifications, but I'm still not getting them.

Solution: Your device's system settings may be blocking them – even if your browser is set to allow them. Update your system notification settings using the steps for your operating system:

Once updated, refresh your browser and check whether notifications are working.
