Policy – Generic or Confidential Company Name
This policy applies to all employers who post jobs on Indeed. Some employers may want to post jobs without showing their company name. They might use names like 'Confidential Executive Office' or 'Confidential Organisation'.
Job seekers are less likely to apply if they don't know which company is hiring. Sharing your company name helps people learn about your business and decide if the job is right for them.
Jobs that don't show the company name may be hidden, removed or require sponsorship.
Policy
All job postings on Indeed must show the company name connected to the job.
Jobs using a generic or confidential company name:
May have limited visibility or not appear in search results
May need sponsorship
Often get fewer applications
This policy helps job seekers trust the job and the company posting it.
Exceptions or special cases
If you need to post a confidential job, you can post a sponsored job.
Learn more about sponsored jobs on Indeed.
