Full job description

About Us

Copper Scrap Recycling Pty Ltd is one of Sydney's fastest-growing nonferrous metal companies, with over 10 years of industry experience. We specialise in recycling copper, brass, copper wire and cable, radiators, aluminium, electric motors, lead, and batteries. We offer both drop-off facilities and same-day pickup services across Sydney, paying top prices for all unwanted scrap metal.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and organised Office Manager to oversee our day-to-day administrative operations. This is a pivotal role in a dynamic, hands-on environment where you will be the backbone of our office — keeping things running smoothly while supporting the team and our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily office operations, correspondence, and administrative workflows
  • Coordinate scheduling, meetings, and appointments for management and field teams
  • Maintain accurate records of customer transactions, pickups, and scrap pricing
  • Handle accounts administration including invoicing, purchase orders, and basic bookkeeping
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport providers via phone and email
  • Oversee filing systems, document management, and data entry
  • Support HR administration including staff onboarding and leave records
  • Ensure compliance with relevant workplace health and safety (WHS) requirements
  • Assist in coordinating same-day pickup logistics and customer service enquiries

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of office management or senior administrative experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g. MYOB, Xero) is an advantage
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary of $80,000 – $100,000 depending on experience
  • Stable, full-time role with a growing Australian business
  • Supportive and friendly team environment
  • Opportunity to grow with the company
  • Sydney-based role
