For over 70 years Bethanie has been warmly welcoming older West Australians into a caring and personal environment. We’re a leading, trusted not-for-profit organisation, and we’re proudly local to Western Australia, welcoming people in our aged care homes, retirement villages, community housing and more.

Our trusted reputation is built on a history of an experienced team and person-centred care. We care for our residents and clients across 34 facilities throughout metropolitan Perth and regional Western Australia and look after each individual in the way they want to be cared for.

We are currently seeking experienced Therapy Assistant to provide daily support to our residents at Bethanie Beachside, Aged Care Facility.

This role is offered on a Casual Basis.


About the Role

  • Implementing therapy and lifestyle programs for individual residents and groups
  • Adapting activities to resident’s level of function under the guidance of a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist
  • Addressing a variety physical and psychological needs and providing opportunities for meaningful engagement for residents
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, both paper and computer based

About You

You have a passion for working with people of all abilities and backgrounds. You are enthusiastic and creative and can support and cultivate our residents’ strengths and interests. You also bring:

  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a Therapy Assistant role ideally in aged care
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both a verbal and written capacity with care recipients, families and team members
  • Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
