Commercial Motor Claims Officer

Our Commercial Motor Insurance division is currently seeking resilient customer service focused professionals to join our team here in Brisbane. Insurance or Claims experience is not necessary , we are looking for candidates who have a genuine passion for helping our customers and thrive in a fast paced environment.

Working as a Commercial Motor Insurance Claims Officer your primary responsibility is to provide a customer focussed efficient and cost effective claims service. This is a versatile phone based Claims Officer role where you will be dedicated to helping our customers when they need us to make things right again and will see you become an advocate for the Suncorp Motor Claims Service. This is a unique call centre environment where you are responsible for making decisions for our customers and progress their claim at every opportunity. We currently have positions available that would suit full or part time arrangements. For part time positions you must be available to work a minimum of 22 hours per week, which would need to include a 7.5 hours on Mondays.

Duties include:
Inbound and outbound calls from customers, suppliers and intermediaries relating to commercial claims.

Lodging new commercial claims and managing existing claims through the team management process.

Providing timely claim updates to customers, intermediaries and claims stakeholders.

Reviewing reports to identify next steps for the claim.

Communicating with various internal and external stakeholders

Using Product disclosure statements to determine claims acceptance.

Resolving internal and external issues and complaints

Recording accurate claims information into claims management systems.

To be considered for the role you will have previous customer service experience. You approach must support our business focus in reducing our customers effort and identify the best outcome for both the customer and the company. You will also have:

Experience in showing resilience to change and a high pressure environment

Demonstrated passion for delivering exceptional customer outcomes, and identify opportunities to reduce customer effort.

Demonstrated history of taking ownership and resolving customer issues

Ability to demonstrate a clear approach to decision making where all relevant factors are taken into account.

Superior time and workload management skills and ability to prioritise

High attention to detail

Be a strong team player

Ability to clearly and confidently negotiate with Customers and stakeholders

Strong computer literacy with the ability to learn multi platform claims systems.
