It will achieve this by identifying, monitoring and promoting improvements in the quality of health services delivered by service providers (both Hospital and Health Services and private health facilities, globally and within Queensland), and support and facilitate the dissemination of best-practice clinical standards and processes that achieve better outcomes for patients. The quality improvement agenda is actively supported by a significant research agenda. The Division is also accountable for setting and supporting the direction for mental health, alcohol and other drug services in Queensland, as well monitoring and reporting on performance.The role Reporting to the Senior Executive Coordinator, as an Executive Administration Officer within the Office of the Deputy Director-General, Clinical Excellence Division you will need to be crossed-skilled and have experience in both providing a high level of confidential executive secretarial support to a high level executive and experience in the management of high volumes of correspondence at a divisional level within an organisation.You will be responsible for diary management, travel coordination, logistical support, research, preparing correspondence, escalating or responding to matters. This will involve communicating and liaising with a range of senior stakeholders on behalf of the executive you support which may include members of parliament and the business and community sector, the Office of the Minister and the Office of the Director-General. You should also have experience in the management of high volumes of correspondence including liaising with a range of stakeholders from across the Department and from within Cabinet and Parliamentary Services to ensure correspondence is recorded accurately and is completed in a timely manner. You will deliver correspondence management training across the Division and complement this training by developing a range of communication tools for staff and maintaining accurate database and document management records. You will support your colleagues by championing business improvement activities and undertaking other administrative functions across the Office as required. The successful personYou will be flexible, diligent, tactful and proactive with demonstrable experience in building a good rapport with senior stakeholders, colleagues and your team mates. You can clearly articulate your experience in managing large volumes of correspondence as well as your background in providing confidential and exemplary administration support to a senior level executive. You will have a proven track record in building and maintaining effective professional relationships and in dealing with sensitive issues. You will enjoy working within a fast paced setting and will always ensure a high level of attention is applied to the work you perform. In addition, you will thrive in a supportive team environment and enjoy working with a range of different colleagues and stakeholders to ensure outcomes are achieved and deadlines are met.
