About the role

This is a challenging and exciting opportunity reporting to the Group Manager – Quality and Business Improvement. You will be responsible for the management and delivery of research requests and projects and for developing a research based culture throughout the organisation.

You will provide support and advice on research activities and promote the use of sound and defendable research practices.

You will enjoy coordinating research activities across the organisation as well as collaborating with key managers to identify research needs and opportunities, preparing research plans, and developing strategies for gathering and presenting research information. You are confident in clearly communicating and presenting your research findings to both internal and external audiences via a variety of media. You also have the ability to undertake key leadership roles in major identified research projects.

You are passionate about planning and conducting strategic research that informs service delivery, policy direction, or public comment; source and present demographic data that supports organisational planning.

Indicative Total Remuneration Pro-rata: $86,000 + superannuation and PBI salary sacrificing benefits. (Full time equivalent, you will be paid at the part time rate, based on 3 days per week)

This is a part-time opportunity working 3 days per week.

About you

You will have completed a PhD in a relevant area e.g. social science, as well as be experienced in undertaking research based activities, as evidenced by a significant publication and peer reviewed presentation based history.

You will possess experience in the not-for-profit sector and/or faith based or social service industry areas, as well as demonstrated experience supporting the translation of research into real world outcomes.

You hold in high stead your outstanding communication skills and have the confidence to communicate your knowledge to the wider group. You have a driven and motivated personality with an ambition to support the activities aligned with our strategic direction. Enthusiasm and the ability to form relationships with a wide variety of people are important assets to have in order to succeed within this role.

It is highly desirable that you currently have an academic research role with a university.
