As our next Senior Security Analyst – IT Risk & Security , reporting to the ICT Operations Manager, you will work collaboratively with the Thiess Executive Team to architect and lead the implementation of necessary ICT security solutions. You will use your knowledge and experience of ICT security along with your influential interpersonal skills to drive support for the establishment of an exceptional and secure ICT environment.

This role is not a purely technical role. This role requires you to engage with Thiess’ senior leaders and articulate (using your knowledge and experience) why Thiess should implement a robust ICT security solution and how you propose to undertake the task. The role is based in Thiess’s head office at Southbank.

Some of your duties will include:
Presentations to Thiess’ Executive team, both verbal and visual

Development and maintenance of documentation including planning & reporting

Project Management – using a formal project management methodology

Keeping up to date with industry developments/technologies and making recommendations of appropriate initiatives

Coordinate, support and supervise members of the ICT team, including on the job training as required

Provide timely and quality support, investigation, response, feedback, escalation, assistance and resolution to incidents logged by the Thiess Helpdesk to Thiess & Business Unit Employees

Proactively review the services being provided to ensure they are fit for purpose, cost effective and performing adequately

Promote a service culture to ensure that the Team is focused on exceeding customer’s expectations in an efficient and timely manner

Work with the relevant ICT team members to develop and maintain;

ICT Architecture Standards

ICT Infrastructure Standards

Identify, develop and maintain other ICT Standards as required

Ensure all systems and network services are available when required by the business and are performing as expected

Day to day administration of Thiess Systems and associated hardware

Diagnose and resolve support calls relating to Thiess systems

Assist in the delivery of penetration tests & vulnerability assessments

What skills and experience do you need?

Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology
Excellent written and oral influential interpersonal skills
Demonstrated negotiation and business development skills
Confident and competent presenter
Several years demonstrated experience in the operation and design of enterprise level secured networks & systems
Demonstrated experience in working with cloud applications
At least five (5) years’ experience working with Security technologies
Experience with writing design, project documentation and process documentation
Experience working within environments that encompass cloud based technologies
Experience writing Policy documents and Guidelines
