Your Opportunity:
To take accountability for leading a project and/or significant work package for the Program within the context of the Queensland Government environment.

The Senior Project Manager will need to:
Lead the creation of a plan that will underpin the successful completion of all activities to achieve the desired outcomes (including details on scope, products, risks, quality, roles/responsibilities, time frames, stakeholders, etc).
Create a costed and resourced schedule that contains all activities and sub-tasks required for successful completion of the work to be undertaken.
Motivate and lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver quality outputs as per the agreed schedule and applicable standards.
Identify and recommend options for resource provisioning
Deliver against the approved baseline and report (by exception) on variances outside of agreed tolerances.
Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures and behavioural expectations relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
Lead, manage and direct multi-disciplinary project team/s to work collectively to deliver integrated outcomes, ensuring that sub-optimal performance is proactively addressed.
Proactively monitor and report of related trends and performance against project plans and budgets. Required Skills:

High level leadership, conceptualisation and design of projects comprising multiple complex and high risk components.
High level project management skills, with the ability to successfully achieve agreed outcomes and engage and plan thoroughly to minimise project changes.
High level knowledge and proven experience in ICT solution delivery in a health environment that includes multiple integration components.
Ability to work in a team environment and develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Proven ability to lead, manage and mentor multiple multi-disciplinary teams.
Demonstrated experience in managing a project budget of greater than $10m.
High level negotiation, consultation, facilitation, written and oral communication skills for use in a complex organisational environment.
Experience in successfully managing complex ICT contracts with vendors and third party suppliers under a partnership model.
High level knowledge and application of project management methodologies.
A working understanding of the ITIL framework and practices.
