Full job description

The successful applicant will be required to participate equitably in at least a two-shift, 7-day roster. Shift and weekend penalty payments will apply.

YOUR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Will include:
Act as the first point of contact to the public requiring assistance in police stations.

Assist members of the public and provide information relating to Queensland Police Service initiatives.

Undertake counter duties including taking crime reports, issuing permits and other associated documentation.

Competently use police computer databases and inputting data as necessary.

Competently use police communication equipment when necessary.

Compile reports and other correspondence and assist in the preparation of police documentation as required.

Proactively contributing to the development of administrative systems and processes that assist in the running of a station.

Receive and receipt of found property including money.

Receipt money including currency and electronic funds transfer at point of sale (EFTPOS) transactions.

Undertake duties with the minimum of supervision both during and out of normal business hours as required.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Initial appointment will be on a temporary basis while the appointee undergoes a training program of at least 6 weeks duration. The training will consist of theory and practical components. In the event that an appointee does not successfully complete the required training, the employment arrangement will cease.
