Support Worker / Disability & Childcare Support Worker

We are currently looking for reliable, compassionate and highly professional Support Workers to join our growing team.

Required:

  • Hold (or be studying toward) one of the following
  • Certificate III in Childcare, Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
  • 2nd year+ university studies or equivalent relevant qualification
  • Have a reliable vehicle, comprehensive insurance and a clean driving record
  • Have strong and consistent availability across a 24/7 roster
  • Be meticulous with:
  • Case notes
  • Compliance
  • Communication
  • Be a team player who values professionalism and collaboration
  • You MUST have (or be willing to obtain):
  • Working With Children Check
  • NDIS Worker Check
  • National Police Check
  • First Aid & CPR
  • NDIS Orientation Module
  • Responding to Abuse and Neglect – Fundamentals/Masterclass
  • Hand Hygiene Certificate
  • Medication Authority
  • Desired:
  • Previous experience in industry

Pay: $30.00 – $42.00 per hour

Application Question(s):

  • What experience do you have providing neuroaffirming support to children, young people or individuals with disability and how do you ensure your approach is respectful, consistent and person-centred?
  • Are you comfortable providing support within family environments where a parent, caregiver or sibling may also have disability, mental health challenges or additional support needs? Please describe your approach to maintaining professionalism, empathy and appropriate boundaries in these situations.
  • What is your current availability across weekdays, evenings, overnight shifts and weekends, and are there any days or times you are unavailable to work?
  • How would you rate your written and spoken English skills, particularly for completing detailed case notes, incident reports and professional communication with families, colleagues and stakeholders?
  • Are you confident using apps, emails and online systems for rostering, incident reporting and case notes?
  • Are you seeking long-term, ongoing work and able to commit to regular availability?
  • This role may involve personal care, emotional regulation support, transport and community access. Are you comfortable providing these supports?
  • Are you comfortable working independently in community and home-based environments while maintaining professional boundaries and safety practices?
  • Are you willing and available to work active and/or sleepover overnight shifts within our STA (Short Term Accommodation) house, including weekends and public holidays if required?
  • Do you have experience supporting children, adolescents or participants with complex behaviours, trauma, autism, ADHD or psychosocial disability? Please describe briefly.
