The Role: We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, caring, and committed individual to join our team as a Dog Handler Trainee to join us in our Play Dates (Doggy Daycare) and Obedience programs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain a comprehensive understanding and practical experience in canine care and behaviour.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Supervising and engaging with dogs in a playgroup setting

- Assisting the Dog Trainer/s during sessions

- Maintaining a safe and clean environment

- Assisting with basic grooming needs

- Providing excellent customer service to pet owners

- Collaborating with team members and contributing to our learning environment

Key Qualifications:

- Passionate about animals, particularly dogs

- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to work well individually and within a team environment

- A proactive approach towards learning and developing new skills

- Must possess a valid driver's license (probationary or full)

- Willingness to undertake a police check

Training and Development:

The successful candidate will undertake a Certificate II in Animal Studies as part of this traineeship, as well as our internal training program. This provides an excellent grounding in a wide range of relevant skills, including animal care, animal behaviour, health and safety procedures, and customer service.
