Event Coordinator

Aquavue Beachfront Bar & Eatery is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Event Coordinator to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of unforgettable events in our stunning beachside location.

From dreamy weddings and milestone birthdays to business catering and exclusive functions, this role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes events, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is confident managing multiple moving parts with style.

Your Role Includes:

• Planning, coordinating and executing all onsite and offsite events including weddings, birthday parties, corporate functions and community events
• Responding to event and function enquiries promptly and professionally
• Coordinating catering orders and logistics
• Promoting Aquavue as a destination venue through advertising, social media and event listings (in collaboration with the Marketing Coordinator)
• Attending trade shows, exhibitions, wedding expos and networking events
• Writing award submissions and grant applications
• Liaising with suppliers, entertainers and vendors
• Maintaining accurate event records, bookings, and schedules
• Creating event proposals and run sheets
• Assisting in content creation and visual presentations for event clients
• Overseeing event set up and pack down
• Supporting marketing activities related to events

Who You Are:

• Highly organised with meticulous planning and time management skills
• Confident communicator with excellent people skills and customer service mindset
• Polished and professional personal presentation
• Strong computer and digital skills (Google Suite, Canva, Dubsado etc.)
• Calm under pressure with the ability to problem-solve on the fly
• A self-starter who works well independently but also thrives in a team
• Previous experience in hospitality, events, or venue coordination preferred
• Must be available for weekend and evening events when required
• Experience in marketing or social media - a bonus!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $27.00 – $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 38 per week
