This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Solicitor to join a respected North Queensland multi-disciplinary law firm at the ground level with the view of building a long-term legal career within a single practice. Working closely with experienced Senior Solicitors who are genuinely invested in mentoring and development, you will deepen your technical skills, strengthen your professional capability and gain meaningful exposure across commercial, family, property and estate law matters.

Your Core Responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking legal research and assisting with advice across commercial, family and estate law matters.
- Drafting correspondence, court documents, contracts, wills and powers of attorney under supervision.
- Supporting senior lawyers with file management, matter preparation and client communication.
- Attending client meetings, mediations, negotiations, settlements and court appearances as required.
- Liaising professionally with clients, counsel, courts and other stakeholders.
- Maintaining accurate file notes, records and time entries in line with firm standards.
- Keeping up to date with relevant legislation, case law and legal practice developments.
- Contributing to a collaborative, professional and client-focused team environment.
This is a full time office-based position and the successful candidate will be based in the firm’s Townsville office.
To be eligible to apply, you must have Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency status.
About You
You are a motivated and resilient early-career lawyer who is eager to build your capability in a high-expectation legal environment. You bring professionalism, sound judgement and a strong work ethic, together with a genuine commitment to learning from experienced practitioners and contributing to quality client outcomes.
You will be recently admitted, or approaching admission as a legal practitioner in Queensland, and bring the following:
- Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication, with a professional and confident approach.
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail and time management skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and perform well under pressure.
- Resilience, professionalism and a collaborative, client-focused approach in a busy practice environment.
- 1 - 3 years’ post admission experience is highly regarded
- A genuine commitment to learning, development and long-term career growth.
