The Role
As a Pastry Cook at Sweet Belem Barangaroo, you’ll be part of a small BOH team finishing and baking products on-site daily.

This role is an opportunity to be part of the opening team — helping shape kitchen culture, production flow, and standards from day one.

Barangaroo focuses on:

  • Custard preparation
  • Filling and finishing tarts
  • Baking and final cooking
  • Baking cake and mousses
  • Donuts and laminated dough finishing
  • Daily production for service

This is a real pastry role, but in a calm, organised, production-focused kitchen.

What You’ll Do

  • Execute daily pastry production to set standards
  • Follow prep and bake schedules
  • Maintain clean and organised workstations
  • Monitor product quality and consistency
  • Work efficiently during peak production windows
  • Support your team.

What We’re Looking For

  • Pastry or bakery experience (professional or strong hands-on background)
  • Good pace without rushing quality
  • Pride in clean work and consistency
  • Comfortable in a small, tight-knit team
  • Calm under pressure
  • Willingness to learn and improve

Experience in premium bakeries is great — but attitude matters more than brand names.

Hours

  • Trading: Mon–Sat 7am–9pm, Sun 7am–6pm
  • Shifts typically 6–8 hours
  • Full-time, part-time, and casual options available

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 38 per week
