About The Role
The Retail Supervisor is responsible for leading and supervising the shop floor team members, ensuring 100% customer satisfaction, adherence to merchandising standards, policy and procedural compliance and team member engagement and productivity, on weekends and/or public holidays or in the absence of the Store Manager and Retail Managers.
The Retail Supervisor is required to manage the daily tasks that are required on the shop. This includes register operation and product merchandising, whilst supporting our team members in everyday activities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day to day leadership, support and supervision of rostered team on the shop floor
- Support the training of the team in customer service, product knowledge and operational responsibilities
- Opening and closing store during shift
- Balance and count registers at the close of business
- Processing of refunds and change orders
- Complete price changes in Idealpos as required
- Enter Stock into the Idealpos system, as required
- Operation of the cash register system, including POS
- Maintain, security procedures and cash handling procedures
- Customer service and assistance
- Maintain orderly appearance of register area.
- Greeting, acknowledging and actively engaging every customer
- Merchandise and aid in the maintenance of floor stock levels
About You:

Skills & Experience:
- Must have supervisory experience
- Must have experience using cash registers
- Due to the nature of the role, applicants should be physically fit and able to stand for extended periods of time, and able to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting 15 to 20kgs.
- Experience working in Retail, Customer Service, preferred but not essential
- Thrives in a fast paced, team environment and demonstrates a high level of confidence, enthusiasm and energy
- Strong commitment and passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Ability to maintain a calm demeanour when communicating, and working, with customers and other staff
- Acts in a professional manner, using appropriate interpersonal skills to support & contribute to a collaborative team environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks to work efficiently and within timelines
We are seeking people who want to join the team in an ongoing casual position. Due to the nature of the role
Flexibility to work a number of shifts each week, including a weekend shift, is required.
Pay rate is in line with the General Retail Award - this is a Level 4 role
