Lead the Way in Senior Science as a Tutor (Years 11–12)

Are you confident in Stage 6 Science and passionate about teaching? Pioneer Education is seeking high-performing tutors to support Year 11 and 12 students in senior science subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics. Help students master complex content, excel in assessments, and achieve top HSC results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tutor students across Stage 6 Science subjects (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics)
  • Simplify complex concepts from Year 11 and 12 syllabus
  • Assist with assessments, exam preparation.
  • Develop students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Adapt lessons to individual learning styles and academic goals
  • Maintain accurate session records and track student progress
  • Collaborate with team members to improve teaching strategies and student outcomes

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of NSW Stage 6 Science syllabus (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics)
  • Experience in tutoring or mentoring Year 11 and/or Year 12 students
  • Excellent communication and student engagement skills
  • Organised, reliable, and self-directed
  • Ability to explain both conceptual theory and application-based questions
  • Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Availability on weekday evenings and/or Saturdays

Preferred Skills

  • Band 6 in one or more HSC Science subjects
  • Familiarity with all modules within your specialised subject(s)
  • Confident in explaining advanced concepts and exam strategies
  • Skilled in guiding students through past papers and high-difficulty questions
