Full job description

Are you a master problem-solver who can navigate complex systems with ease? Do you believe that every NDIS participant deserves a champion who can turn a complex plan into a roadmap for a better life?

The Fig Trees Disability Services is an NDIS-registered provider known for our deep expertise in psychosocial disability and our unwavering commitment to social justice. We are looking for a Support Coordinator who can handle everything from standard coordination to high-level crisis intervention.

What You'll Do & Why It Matters

In this role, you aren’t just a "case manager"—you are a capacity builder. You will work with participants who often face significant barriers, helping them navigate education, health, and justice systems while ensuring they maintain choice and control.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Complex Plan Implementation: Help participants understand their funding and translate NDIS goals into real-world support schedules and service agreements.
  • Specialist Advocacy: Negotiate with multiple stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams to reduce barriers and ensure the broader support system is working in harmony.
  • Crisis & Resilience Building: Provide time-limited, outcomes-focused support to help participants manage challenges and build the skills to direct their own lives.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the central point of contact for families, providers, and the NDIA, obtaining quotes and assessments that provide maximum value to the client.
  • Reporting & Quality: Prepare comprehensive progress reports for the NDIA and maintain accurate records that meet the highest NDIS Practice Standards.

What We're Looking For

We need a strategic thinker who can balance clinical governance with a person-centered approach.

  • The Expertise: A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or a related Community Services field is highly preferred.
  • The Experience: At least 1 year of experience in Support Coordination or Case Management. Lived experience or experience with psychosocial disability, mental health, or autism is highly regarded.
  • The "Specialist" Edge: Knowledge of the NDIS Act 2013 and the ability to manage crisis interventions and complex multi-disciplinary teams.
  • The Skills: You are a "people person" with excellent technical writing skills and the ability to coach others through significant life challenges.

Must-Haves (Non-Negotiables)

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children Check.
  • National Police Clearance.
  • Completion of NDIS Worker Induction Modules.
  • Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain).
  • Valid Driver’s License.

What We Offer You

  • Competitive Salary: $73,803 – $89,591 per year (based on experience and qualification level).
  • Impactful Work: Manage a caseload where your advocacy truly changes lives.
  • Stability & Growth: Full-time hours (Monday–Friday) with a supportive leadership team and an admin team there to ensure you are successful.
  • Location: Work in person from our Pennington office, right in the heart of the community we serve.

Ready to Lead the Way?

If you are ready to use your expertise to strengthen the lives of NDIS participants and their networks, we want to meet you. Join a team that values your vision and empowers you to make a tangible difference.
