We are a rapidly growing SaaS eCommerce company in need of a Specialist Technical Content writer to help our users understand and implement the new features we’re releasing.
The story begins with a client. They need to build something on their StoreConnect store. They open their favourite search engine or AI tool, ask an outcome based question, and, like magic, the answer appears. Clear, concise, easy for them to follow with the right technical steps to achieve their business objective. Whether they’re a developer, a business user, or an AI-powered assistant, the information they need is right there, waiting.
We know that this magic doesn’t just happen. It’s built, maintained, and constantly refined by you.
In this role, you’re the curator of clarity, the person who makes our documentation functional and usable. You’ll be modifying and improving our documentation so that both humans and AI tools get it. Outdated content? You’ll catch it. Confusing layouts? You’ll fix them. Missing documentation? You’ll have access to the developer notes, our demo environments and even the raw code if needed so you can learn how it works, and explain it to others. And when existing features evolve, you’ll be the first to try it out, and ensure our documentation evolves with them.
And it doesn’t stop there. You’ll also be contributing to general technical content across our ecosystem. These are knowledge articles, feature release notes and technical guides that explain not just how things work, but why they matter. But you won’t be working alone. You’ll liaise with our video content team (who are smashing it on our youtube channel ) to ensure features come alive visually, and when the marketing team needs summary feature pages, you’ll be the go-to collaborator to make them shine.
Most importantly, your work will be the first line of help to our clients, partners and prospects, keeping technical docs up to date, recommending improvements, and ensuring it becomes the most usable, intuitive tool it can possibly be.
What you’ll be doing (day to day):
- Writing content for our support portal and website so both AIs and humans can find answers easily.
- Owning the support platform and ensuring it’s always up to date
- Recommending and implementing improvements to make documentation more usable and AI readable.
- Turning the developer notes for new features created and turning this into accurate documentation.
- Reviewing and updating existing documentation for current features
- Collaborating with our video team to create engaging feature videos that further simplify the user experience on our support site.
- Assisting in the creation of summary feature pages for marketing.
- Working with our Marketing team to accurately represent new features and any technical content for our website.
Must Haves
- You must LOVE writing, it needs to be in your blood and you find insane pleasure in crafting the perfect communication, rapidly, in a growing start up.
- You have experience in writing technical documentation ideally in a B2B SaaS environment.
- You are able to quickly understand new features our team builds and translate this into easy to understand and follow user documentation.
- Are excited to explore this new AI landscape and understand that documents are no longer written for only humans.
- Familiar with using Salesforce.
- Native in English.
- Located in Australia.
