Project Engineer

Full-time

Graduate Civil Engineer

We are seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join B & K Revegetation & Landscaping experienced with onsite QA/QC processes including survey pickups, holds points, witness points, Inspection & Test Plans and sign offs. Also involved is procurement, budgeting, and cost evaluating. The role is based on the Central Coast with works on the Coast and Hunter Valley.

With ongoing work, this position holds the opportunity for career advancement and development. Working alongside a great team, you’ll be required provide quality, technical and administrative support to the Project Manager and Site Supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Project Manager and Site Manager, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Interpreting and checking drawings, specifications and quantities
  • Utilisation of GPS Rover for surface area pickups and also Quality Assurance
  • Supporting the Project Manager in the planning, execution and handover of project deliverables
  • In liaison with the Project Manager and site supervisor, accurately record the daily progress, material deliveries and daily site resources pertaining to all site works.
  • Ensure appropriate permits and approvals are in place to facilitate daily works activities
  • Assistance with the preparation and collation of documentation for claims
  • Ensuring all project QA documentation is in place, including maintaining ITP’s
  • Material Tracking
  • Maintaining various site registers
  • Assist the project team with other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in a relevant field of study (Engineering, Surveying Construction Management, Landscape Construction etc)
  • Current Drivers License
  • Experience with Trimble rover software would be advantageous
  • An understanding of the construction industry including modern construction techniques
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • A good level of computer literacy including MS Word, Excel and Project
