About Us

SKG Radiology is proudly West Australian and proud partners of the West Coast Eagles, Fremantle Dockers, Perth Wildcats, Western Force, Perth Lynx, Perth Heat, West Coast Fever and a number of local football clubs. Established in 1981, SKG Radiology is recognised for its excellence in providing consistent patient care and a wide range of professional services from X-ray to Ultrasound, LOW-DOSE CT scans, MRI and Nuclear Medicine. Market-leading technology including EOS weight bearing x-ray and the latest 3T MRI scanners keeps SKG Radiology at the forefront of diagnostic imaging innovation.

About the Role

As a Medical Imaging Assistant, you will be responsible for patient care prior to, during and after the procedure. The majority of your work will be clinical in nature including some administrative duties.

This position is Full Time – 75 hours per fortnight. In addition, you will be required to participate in public holiday, shift and weekend rosters.

This role will see you primarily assisting within the CT department on our secondary scanner, working alongside various Medical Imaging Technologists and another Assistant to ensure a smooth workflow of both machines. Some of your many and varied duties will include:

  • Confirming patient appointments & any pre-appointment instructions via telephone
  • Retrieving outside imaging studies
  • Cannulating patients (intravenous cannulation training provided)
  • Preparing patients for procedures
  • Assisting with the positioning of patients during procedures
  • Assisting the technical staff member during clinical procedures, including cannulating patients
  • Stock control
  • Cleaning and housekeeping duties
  • Administrative duties as required

A tertiary qualification in a health/science background will be highly regarded.


Role requirements:

  • A caring, compassionate nature

  • A willingness to train in IV Cannulation
  • The ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Outstanding communication and time management skills
  • Computer literacy
  • The ability to work under pressure in an ever-changing environment

Please note that the successful candidate is required to provide evidence of vaccination/immunity/screening to a list of vaccine-preventable diseases prior to commencement of employment.
