1. Sydney and Sydney Eye Hospital (SSEH) training network
2. Prince of Wales Hospital (POWH) training network

Positions are for applicants with RANZCO confirmed eligibility for the Vocational Training Positions (VTP) with a proven ability to deliver excellent clinical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Two (2) training networks are as follows:
Sydney Eye Hospital (SSEH) Training Network
The SSEH Training Network Program is based at Sydney Eye Hospital with rotations to: Westmead, Royal North Shore, Concord, Liverpool, Royal Prince Alfred, Bankstown, Westmead Childrens, St. Vincent's, Lismore Base, Royal Darwin, Wagga Wagga, Royal Hobart, Canberra Hospital and other RANZCO accredited training facilities in metropolitan Sydney, Rural locations in NSW and interstate locations
Prince of Wales Hospital (POWH) Training Network
The POWH network Program is based at Prince of Wales Hospital with rotations to Sydney Children's Hospital, Sutherland Hospital, Broken Hill base Hospital, Tamworth Hospital and Outback Eye Service (including Bourke, Lightning Ridge and others). For POWH terms, the work locations includes Sydney Eye Hospital for additional operating theatres.
Accredited training is available for four years plus an optional fifth year upon application.
Applicants who are offered an interview will be informed of the process.
Trainees will work under supervision of Specialist Ophthalmologists to assess, investigate, diagnose, treat and provide ongoing management of Ophthalmology inpatients and outpatients performing clinical procedures under supervision or as approved, to provide high quality patient care, whilst building on skills to become competent in the practice of Ophthalmology in accordance with RANZCO training requirements.

- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia
- Completion of 2 years postgraduate years of medical practice by the start of the new JMO clinical year
- RANZCO confirmed eligibility for the Vocational Training Position (VTP)
- Demonstrated record in working independently in a supervised clinical environment combining self-education and continued professional development, an ability to consistently apply established knowledge and skill, initiative and ability to seek guidance to resolve issues when required
- Demonstrated record to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and commitment to the organisation.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management
- Demonstrated evidence of participation and leadership in extracurricular activities to benefit the community
