From iconic pubs and bars to premium dining and entertainment destinations, we are committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving strong commercial performance.

We're looking for a Data Analyst – Pricing to join our growing Revenue Growth team. Reporting to the Senior Data & Pricing Analyst, you'll play a key role in delivering data-driven pricing strategies that optimise revenue, margin and customer value across our diverse venue portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical and commercially minded professional who enjoys solving business challenges through data and influencing decisions that have a direct impact on performance.

About the Role

As the Data Analyst – Pricing, you'll analyse pricing performance across food, beverage and promotional offers to identify opportunities that improve profitability and support sustainable growth.

Working closely with Analytics, Operations, Marketing and venue teams, you'll provide insights and recommendations that inform pricing decisions, promotional strategies and menu optimisation initiatives across the business.

You'll combine technical analysis with commercial thinking to ensure pricing strategies remain competitive, customer-focused and aligned to business objectives.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Analyse pricing performance across food, beverage and promotional offers to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain pricing models that support menu engineering, promotions and venue-level pricing decisions.
  • Extract, manipulate and analyse large datasets using SQL, Excel and internal business systems.
  • Support the rollout, monitoring and optimisation of pricing strategies across venues and campaigns.
  • Conduct menu and product-level analysis, including margin, popularity and contribution assessments.
  • Monitor competitor activity and local market conditions to support informed pricing decisions.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting that provide visibility of pricing performance, revenue and margin outcomes.
  • Partner with venue operators and regional teams to deliver practical, actionable insights.
  • Ensure pricing accuracy and consistency across menus, systems and promotional materials.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting and scenario modelling related to pricing and promotional activity.
  • Document pricing methodologies, processes and best practices to support scalable and repeatable outcomes.

About You

You are naturally curious, analytical and commercially focused. You enjoy turning complex data into clear recommendations and can communicate insights to stakeholders at all levels of the business.

You'll bring:

  • Experience in data analytics, pricing, revenue management, commercial analysis or a related field.
  • Strong SQL and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience working with large datasets and translating findings into business recommendations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience building reports, dashboards and analytical models.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • A commercial mindset and passion for improving business performance through data-driven decision making.

Desirable

  • Experience within hospitality, retail, FMCG, consumer goods or multi-site businesses.
  • Exposure to pricing strategy, revenue management, menu engineering or promotional optimisation.
  • Experience with Power BI or other visualisation tools.
  • Understanding of POS systems and transactional data.

Why Join Australian Venue Co.?

  • Work on high-impact projects that influence pricing decisions across one of Australia's largest hospitality groups.
  • Join a collaborative and growing analytics team focused on driving commercial outcomes.
  • Access career development and progression opportunities within a dynamic business.
  • Enjoy a vibrant Melbourne CBD office environment and team culture.
  • Be part of a company that values innovation, data-driven decision making and continuous improvement.

If you're passionate about pricing, analytics and commercial performance and want to help shape pricing strategy across a leading hospitality business, we'd love to hear from you.
