A Network Engineer at Datacom Australia designs, implements, and maintains network infrastructure for enterprise clients and managed IT environments. The role focuses on network performance, cybersecurity, troubleshooting, and ensuring reliable connectivity across business systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud network systems
- Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues
- Install and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure
- Support cybersecurity and network security operations
- Perform system upgrades, patching, and disaster recovery tasks
- Troubleshoot network outages and provide technical support
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity teams
- Create technical documentation and network reports
- Support enterprise and managed services clients across multiple environments
