Due to continued project demand and business growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrician – A Grade to join our team on a full-time basis.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Electrician to join our dynamic team based out of NSW. With experience in electrical commercial construction jobs, we are looking for someone who wants to take on a new challenge. The Electrician will be involved in all aspects of onsite works and will work closely with and be supported by our team.

Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Reading and interpreting electrical plans, wiring diagrams and technical specifications.
• Installing, connecting and testing electrical wiring, cables, conduits, switchboards, power points, lighting systems and associated electrical equipment.
• Testing electrical systems and circuits using appropriate testing equipment to ensure safety, compliance and functionality.
• Diagnosing electrical faults and repairing or replacing defective wiring, components and electrical equipment.
• Carrying out electrical installation, maintenance, fault-finding and repair works on commercial construction projects.
• Performing civil and underground electrical works, including conduit installation, cable hauling and related site works where required.
• Ensuring all electrical work is completed in accordance with Australian standards, WHS/OHS requirements, site procedures and company policies.
• Liaising with site foremen, leading hands, project teams and other trades to coordinate electrical works and resolve site issues.
• Maintaining accurate job records, test results and site documentation as required.

Skills and experience

• Relevant Electrical Trade qualification (i.e., Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician)
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in the electrical construction space
• Current electrical license and experience ‘on tools’
• Commercial construction experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience working “on the tools” as an Electrician.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and fault-finding.
• Commercial construction experience.
• Attention to detail
• Experience in civil/undergrounds
• Effective communicator
• Efficient, organised and independent

Pay: $45.00 – $47.00 per hour
