Summary
Lead product design efforts to create intuitive, user‑centered experiences; drive design strategy, mentor designers, and partner closely with product, engineering, and research to deliver high‑impact features.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end product design: user research synthesis, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and delivery to engineering.
  • Define product design strategy and craft design roadmaps aligning with product goals and user needs.
  • Run and synthesize qualitative and quantitative research (user interviews, usability testing, analytics) to validate concepts and inform decisions.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, high‑fidelity mockups, prototypes, and design specs for web and mobile platforms.
  • Establish and evolve design systems, component libraries, and UI patterns to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Advocate for accessibility, inclusive design, and performance in design solutions (WCAG standards).
  • Collaborate with PMs and engineers to define scope, prioritize work, and ensure feasible implementations.
  • Mentor and provide feedback to mid/junior designers; lead design critiques and hiring interviews.
  • Present design work and rationale to stakeholders and leadership; incorporate feedback and drive consensus.
  • Measure design impact through metrics (activation, conversion, retention, task success) and iterate based on outcomes.
  • Drive cross‑functional initiatives to improve design processes, tooling, and collaboration.
  • Contribute to product vision, participate in roadmap planning, and influence product decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Human Factors, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years product design experience with a portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end product work and measurable impact.
  • Expertise in interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and information architecture for web and mobile.
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Framer, Principle, or equivalent).
  • Strong experience building or maintaining design systems and component libraries.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize research into actionable designs and hypotheses.
  • Solid understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in agile product teams and delivering to tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with user research methods and partnering with UX researchers.
  • Familiarity with front‑end technologies (HTML/CSS, React) to improve design‑engineering handoffs.
  • Experience in B2B or consumer product domains relevant to the company.
  • Track record mentoring designers, hiring, and growing design teams.
  • Contributions to design community (talks, articles, open source design systems).
