About Lead College and Job Role:
We are a well establish Registered Training Organisation that provides nationally recognized courses from a number of national training packages offer to international students.
Our training services specialise in accredited, competency-based training which is considered essential in enhancing individual career opportunities and organisation staff skills. Supported by a team of highly qualified trainers with current industry experience in the areas we train.
Currently, we are seeking Trainers/Assessors in one of our campuses to deliver and assess the following courses:
- RII60520 - Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design
The successful candidate will be a mature team player, with a good attitude and adaptable to a diverse work environment; has an awareness of student learning needs from different backgrounds and a passion to facilitate learning and communication with international students.
Job tasks and responsibilities:
To be successful in this job you need to be a highly motivating and engaging individual with outstanding presentation skills and with a genuine commitment to teaching. You will also need to have highly developed oral and written communication skills.
You'll be responsible for:
- Delivering carpentry (Classroom, Workshop based) or building & Construction (building) training to students using a variety of delivery methods.
- Providing feedback and mentoring to students to assist them in their learning.
- Assessing students, according to standards.
- Keeping high student satisfaction and client satisfaction levels.
- Design and develop learning resources as needed
- Undertaking professional development and keeping industry skills up to date.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalent / higher.
- Demonstrated high-level integrity and ethical standards.
- Australian Vocational qualifications, at least to the level being delivered or assessed.
- Minimum 3 years of local practical industry experience.
- Sound knowledge in the units being delivered
- Proven ability to design training and assessment resources
- Experience working within culturally diverse communities
- A positive and can-do attitude.
- Patience and be willing to support others
- Good leadership and communication skills

Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $55.00 – $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 14 per week
Education:
- Advanced Diploma / Associate Degree (Preferred)
Experience:
- general labor: 3 years (Preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Australian driver's licence (Required)
- forklift truck (LF Class) (Preferred)
- White Card (Required)
