Solar Project Engineer

The Role

We are seeking a Solar Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This dual role is suited to someone with both technical and project delivery experience in the solar PV and battery storage sector.

You will oversee projects from design through to commissioning, ensuring high-quality outcomes, compliance, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with and oversee engineering team
• Undertake system design and engineering (PV, battery, grid connections).
• Manage solar and battery projects from concept to completion.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and reports.
• Coordinate with clients, councils, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure projects comply with WHS, EMS, SWMS, and QMS requirements.
• Lead site inspections, testing, and commissioning.
• Contribute to tender submissions and technical proposals.

About You

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
• Proven experience in solar PV project management and design.
• Familiarity with Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3000, 5033, 4777).
• Strong understanding of grid connection, inverter systems, and battery storage.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused.

Desirable:

• CEC Design & Installation Accreditation.
• Experience with utility-scale projects.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
