Casual Pizza Chef | The Observatory

The Observatory is looking for Pizza Chefs.

Casual & part time opportunities available working both day and evening shifts.

About The Role:

You must be motivated and focused, have good communication and be able to run a pizza section independently. Our pizza is high quality Neapolitan style using our 72 hour fermented dough and artisan ingredients.

Experience & Skills:

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Pizza Experience and ability to make and hand stretch pizza dough to a high quality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Able to work weekends, day shifts, evenings and public holidays.

Experience & Skills:

• Exposure to high energy work environment
• Pizza Experience and ability to hand stretch pizza dough is advantageous
• Creativity and skill in the kitchen
• A friendly, personable demeanour with a willingness to interact with colleagues and guests
• Strong work ethic and a “can do” attitude
• Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
• Excellent communication and time management
• Adaptable to change
• Able and willing to work shift work, including weekends and public holidays

Pay: $28.00 – $45.00 per hour
