Enjoyable place to work, if you can afford to do it
Carpenter/Packager (Current Employee) – Adrian, MI – 28 March 2013
Working through Adecco, at Venchurs Packaging, I worked mainly in plant 4, which is the woodshop. This was a fun, easy going place to work in and I enjoyed working here. However the actual job through Adecco was pretty rough. First, working for minimum wage in a factory, dealing with saws and other dangerous tools, with a higher than average likelihood to be injured, does not make sense to me. The management was constantly complaining of its high employee turnover rates, and I had told them raise the rate of pay you give your employees, make it at least competitive with the other factories around here, which they thought was complete blasphemy. Also, when I started here with this temp service, I was told that they do a lot of hiring for full positions, and I was likely to be getting a manager in training position within my first two months of working there. Needless to say, the client company had no intentions of doing this. The co-workers that I have had the opportunity to work with had made it a very enjoyable place to be the last couple months.
low wages, lack of being able to grow in the company, slim to no chance of being hired in by client companies.
