The key responsibilities of the role include:

Deliver Medical Imaging services commensurate with training and experience, within a multidisciplinary team in accordance with:
prescribed professional and ethical standards
local protocols, policies, procedures and work-place instructions
relevant legislation
Apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to more complex clinical decision making under the professional guidance of a more senior clinician.
Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise through active learning within the team and by engaging in professional development activities.

Mandatory Requirements

Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16

The successful applicant must:

hold at least a tertiary degree qualification enabling enrolment in a Post Graduate Medical Ultrasound program that is accredited by the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Register.
Must be registered as a student sonographer with the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Register

If a Radiographer, the successful applicant also must:

have, or be eligible to have, current registration with AHPRA
have, or be eligible to have, a Licence to Use Irradiating Apparatus issued by Radiation Health, Queensland.
