$205,590 salary package - includes base salary $181,324, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager to oversee the National TAFE Network Remote Student Support project.
As Project Manager, you will lead the planning, development and delivery of a significant student support initiative that will help shape outcomes for learners across Australia. Leading a geographically dispersed team, you will create a highly connected and engaged workforce through structured communication, collaboration and strong leadership across virtual environments. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including TAFEs nationally through the National TAFE Network, building strong partnerships and promoting the project's progress, outcomes and benefits. The role will see you preparing high-level reports and briefings for senior executives, managing complex stakeholder relationships, and driving project outcomes from concept and design through to implementation and evaluation in a dynamic education environment.
The successful candidate must have the willingness and ability to travel to remote regional communities if required.
About you
You are a skilled people leader and communicator with experience leading geographically dispersed teams and keeping remote workforces informed, connected and engaged. You bring strong project management experience across the full project lifecycle, combined with a sound understanding of the education sector and the critical role education support teams play in delivering successful student outcomes. Your ability to build collaborative relationships, influence stakeholders and communicate effectively with audiences ranging from frontline staff to senior executives sets you apart.
Experience working with remote and regional communities, leading virtual teams and operating within an educational environment will be highly regarded. Most importantly, you are passionate about improving outcomes for students and are comfortable representing complex initiatives to stakeholders across the broader vocational education sector.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Degree qualification in project management/ related field OR equivalent significant experience.
- Strong experience in all phases of project management from design to implementation and evaluation within a complex service delivery environment.
- Significant record of achievement delivering complex business focused (non-technology based) projects to achieve business or operational related objectives.
- Demonstrated high level stakeholder management skills to positively engage and collaborate on project activities.
Highly Regarded:
- Experience working within an educational environment.
- Experience working with remote and regional communities.
- Experience leading geographical dispersed teams.
