I’M THE GARDENER is a growing local gardening and maintenance business looking for an energetic, reliable and hands‑on worker to join our team. Ideal for backpackers seeking consistent regional work.

About the Role

This is an outdoor, physical role working at residential properties. Duties include:

  • Lawn mowing (push mower & ride‑on)
  • Whipper‑snipping, hedge trimming & pruning
  • Weed control and garden clean‑ups
  • Green waste removal
  • General grounds maintenance
  • Gutter cleaning (for suitable person)
  • Solar panel cleaning (for suitable person)
  • Occasional weekend work depending on weather and workload

What We’re Looking For

  • Energetic and physically fit
  • Reliable and available (minimum 20 hrs/week, up to 40 hrs)
  • Quick learner with a positive attitude
  • Valid driver’s licence (manual & auto)
  • Comfortable driving a vehicle with a trailer
  • Police clearance (or willing to obtain)
  • Gardening or maintenance experience preferred but not essential
  • Backpackers strongly encouraged to apply
  • Must provide a resume
  • Must be a valid visa holder — we will check work rights
  • Must be comfortable with random alcohol and drug testing
