As a Personal Support Worker at Direct Care Australia, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals in need. We are particularly seeking workers who are available for morning shifts between 8:00am – 12:00pm, as these are the key service hours required to support our clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
• Monitor and report changes in clients' health and behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and any observations made during visits.
• Supporting clients with complex or challenging behaviours.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and organisational policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role or within the sector is preferred.
• A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification is essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and their families.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate and patient attitude towards clients.
• First aid and CPR certification is an advantage.

Location: The successful must be able and willing to travel to multiple suburbs in Adelaide.
