About the role

The Administrative Officer is responsible for the provision of a confidential secretarial, reception and administrative services to the Women’s and Children’s Health Network. Administrative Officer positions work on a weekly rotation roster, across various shift times within the clinical areas and Administrative Services Unit across the Health Network.

Key duties of the role

  • Provide an effective and efficient administrative & reception service.
  • Provide an efficient, fair and equitable patient focused booking service
  • Assist with the provision of an efficient and effective record management service
  • Support and actively participate in a positive culture and safe work environment within the department.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in providing a confidential reception, secretarial and administrative support service.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work with empathy with a diverse range of people, while demonstrating in a courteous and polite manner.
  • Working knowledge of office and administrative procedures and systems, including, competent keyboard and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, good organisational skills and attention to detail.
