Opportunity: Permanent full-time
Reports to: General Manager - Operations

The Opportunity
As the Regional Support Manager – Seniors Living, you will play a key role in supporting Aveo’s Community Managers and ensuring our communities operate efficiently, effectively and in line with Aveo’s goals, strategy and standards. Working closely with our operational and internal service teams, you will provide high-level support across a portfolio of communities, driving best practice, continuous improvement and an exceptional resident experience. This is a diverse, hands-on regional role where you’ll provide practical guidance, solve operational challenges and build strong relationships across the business.

Your Impact:
  • Provide leadership, direction and support to Community Managers, ensuring communities are managed professionally, effectively and efficiently.
  • Support financial performance across the portfolio, partnering with General Managers and Community Finance on budgets, reporting, cost control and revenue opportunities.
  • Provide relief Community Manager support as required, stepping into communities to assist with operational needs and maintain continuity of service.
  • Drive best practice and continuous improvement across communities, identifying opportunities to improve service quality, reduce costs, strengthen compliance and enhance operational performance.
  • Work collaboratively with Facilities, Refurbishment, Care, Sales and other internal teams to maintain community facilities, assets and services to a high standard.
  • Use resident feedback and survey insights to improve resident satisfaction, engagement and service delivery.
  • Support people leadership across Operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance, development and change, strengthening capability and service culture.
  • Build strong relationships with residents and stakeholders, proactively resolving operational issues and disputes and advocating for positive outcomes.
What you’ll bring:
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience at a similar level, with the ability to lead, develop and influence teams and drive performance.
  • Experience in retirement living, aged care, community care or health care, with a strong understanding of the operating environment.
  • Strong P&L and budget management experience, with the ability to understand financial performance and drive commercial outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience leading change and continuous improvement in a complex operational environment, with a proactive, collaborative approach and strong focus on results.
  • Strong customer focus, with the ability to advocate for residents and improve their experience.
  • Strong understanding of relevant retirement living legislation, including the Retirement Villages Act and Owners Corporation Act.
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to navigate difficult conversations, manage competing priorities and influence positive outcomes.
