The Role

We are currently seeking a Initiative Lead to join our Aged Care Services (ACS) Transformation Team on a 12 month full time fixed term contract.

Reporting to the Head of Transformation, the Initiative Lead will plan and lead the delivery of projects and initiatives aligned with Anglicare Southern Queensland’s Strategy through all stages including scoping, initiating, planning, executing and close out (including support hand over and benefit realisation) in accordance with all governance framework and reporting requirements.

This role is suited to candidates with experience delivering organisational improvement and transformation initiatives, particularly in process optimisation and uplift projects within complex environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead transformation initiatives to ensure structures, roles and reporting lines support the organisation’s strategic priorities and operational effectiveness.
  • Undertake end-to-end reviews of business processes to identify inefficiencies, duplication, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement streamlined processes, frameworks and governance mechanisms to improve efficiency, service delivery and accountability.
  • Analyse operational data and stakeholder feedback to inform evidence-based recommendations for organisational and process improvements.
  • Prepare business cases, impact assessments and implementation plans to support organisational change initiatives.
  • Facilitate workshops and consultations with executives, managers and staff to gather insights and ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with project stakeholders to ensure initiatives align with workforce planning, policies and legislative requirements.
  • Support change management activities associated with organisational redesign and process improvements, including communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop and maintain documentation relating to organisational structures, processes and governance arrangements.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes and recommend further improvements where required.

What you will bring to the role

  • Valid Aged Care Worker Screening Check (or ability to attain)
  • Relevant qualifications in Project Management (i.e., PMBoK, Prince II, Agile or similar) (desired) Certification and/or membership with PMI, AIPM or similar (desired)
  • Demonstrated experience in a Project Manager or Initiative Lead role using project management methodologies, tools and practices
  • Relevant experience delivering projects within the aged or healthcare industry (desired)
  • Experience in business case development, planning all aspects, developing plans, schedules, budgets, scope
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies and techniques i.e., PMBOK, Prince2, Agile
  • Background in IT systems, process change support, training, go live and roll outs
