Our practice is committed to providing excellent medical and support services to our patients. We are seeking an experienced and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing patient appointments and bookings
• Triaging patients in the waiting room
• Billing and processing Medicare and private payments
• Liaising professionally with doctors, nurses and practice staff
• Processing daily banking and batching
• Providing high-quality customer service to patients
• Opening and closing the practice as required
• Assisting with general reception and administrative duties

Essential Criteria

• Previous general practice medical reception experience is essential
• Experience using Best Practice software
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Flexible and reliable approach to work
• Experience with opening and closing a medical practice

Hours

The position will involve a minimum of 3–5 days per week, including a combination of morning, evening and weekend shifts.

Preferred days: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Remuneration

Remuneration will be in accordance with experience and qualifications.
