We are looking for a passionate and reliable dog lover to join the team at Delightful Dog minds.

Your day will involve picking up and dropping off dogs from their homes, safely transporting them to beautiful off - leash parks, and providing them with force free exercise, play, enrichment and social interactions. You will spend your time getting to know the dogs in your care, creating positive experiences for them and building strong relationships with both the dogs and their owners.

You will be working as part of a passionate team that takes pride in providing high - quality care and creating a fun, enriching experience for every dog.

This is an active and rewarding role where you will spend your days outdoors, work with a variety of dogs and genuinely enjoy your work.

Key responsibilities

- Safely and responsibly manage group pack walks of up to 10 dogs, maintaining close supervision and control throughout the walk.

-Safely pick up and drop off dogs from their homes and ensure all dogs are securely transported.

- Provide dogs with force free enrichment, exercise and mental stimulation throughout their time in your care.

- Monitor and respond appropriately to canine body language, behaviour and interactions within the group

- Support positive, reward based handling and maintain a calm, safe and enjoyable environment for all dogs.

- Follow Established safety, handling and behaviour protocols.

-Client communications.

- Ensure dogs are returned home safely.

About you/requirements

- Certificate II in animal or equivalent/similar qualification.

- Previous experience working with dogs is strongly proffered, particularly in a professional dog walking, day-care, training or similar environment.

- A solid understanding of canine body language, behaviour and safe dog handling

- Ability to recognise and appropriately respond to changes in dog behaviour and group dynamics.

- Confident managing multiple dogs in a group environment

- Current police check or willingness to obtain one.

-Current drivers license and reliable access to a vehicle.

- Physically capable of walking and handling dogs for extended periods.

- Reliable, responsible and punctual, with a genuine commitment to animal welfare.

-Comfortable working independently.

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6.0 – 12.0 per week
