Asphalt Labourer

Job Title: Asphalt Labourer
Location: Local Council

Employment Type: Casual (38hrs a week, with potential for full-time permanent positions)

About the Role

Our client, a Local Council based in the Southeast of Melbourne, is seeking an experienced and reliable Asphalt Labourer to assist in footpath repairs, including patching and wedging. The successful candidate will also be required to operate or assist with a Flocon truck during operations.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive team environment, contributing to essential maintenance and improvement of local infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out asphalt patching and wedging works on footpaths and road surfaces
  • Assist in the operation of a Flocon truck as required
  • Ensure work is completed safely and efficiently in accordance with Council standards
  • Perform general labouring duties associated with asphalt repair and maintenance
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Requirements:

  • Valid HR Truck Licence (essential)
  • Previous experience in asphalt labouring, particularly footpath repairs (highly regarded)
  • Experience operating or assisting with a Flocon truck (advantageous)
  • Current Police Check (mandatory)
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and perform physical tasks

Pre Employment Checks:

  • Working With Children Check to be obtained prior to commencement
  • Police Check to be obtained prior to commencement
