Description & Requirements

Being in a business support role at Australia Post means helping our people deliver for every Australian. Just like our Posties, you’re still the people behind every parcel. Whatever your team or role, you’re helping grow our people, grow our business and making a lasting impact on the Australian community. You’ll find a culture of connection in our great people and the flexibility to balance work with life outside of it.

About the opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded and data-driven Manager Performance Intelligence to join our Delivery Partners team within Network Operations. Reporting to the Head of Operational Excellence, this role will own and evolve the end-to-end analytics and insights capability for Australia’s national delivery partner network.

This is more than a traditional reporting role. You'll bring a product mindset to data, using insights to shape operational decision-making, influence performance improvement initiatives, and support the ongoing evolution of critical business capabilities. You'll establish a single source of truth across cost, service, safety and contractor performance, delivering meaningful insights that drive action at a leadership level.

You’ll also

  • Lead the design and delivery of dashboards, reporting and insights that lift operational performance and support better decisions
  • Analyse large, complex datasets to uncover trends, opportunities and root causes across service, cost and contractor performance
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Partner Management and Technology to shape strategy, priorities and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Own the data roadmap and the core metrics that define how we measure performance for delivery partner network, and contribute to our roadmap in data
  • Own scorecard metrics and data integrity across the delivery partner network, so performance is managed from a single source of truth
  • Support Delivery Partners to embed AI and automation that simplify work and improve the business productivity

About you

You're a curious and commercially focused analytics professional who enjoys turning data into practical business outcomes. You can confidently work across large datasets, build meaningful visualisations, and communicate complex insights in a clear and engaging way. Equally comfortable working strategically and hands-on, you're passionate about using data to solve business problems and improve operational performance.

You'll bring experience working within fast-paced operational, logistics, supply chain, consulting or similar environments, and have a track record of influencing stakeholders through data-driven recommendations.

You’ll also

  • Have experience using SQL and Python to analyse large-scale datasets and generate actionable insights
  • Be highly proficient in Power BI, Tableau, Looker or similar data visualisation tools
  • Bring strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and influence decision-making through data

What else is in it for you?

  • Bring your whole self to work every day and be met by a welcoming bunch of people who respect and support you
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements
  • Opportunities for growth and development through formal programs or mentorship
  • Exclusive team member discounts and offers for more cash in your pocket, evolving policies for flexible working, leave types and access to health and wellbeing resources

All walks, one route

It takes a lot of us to deliver for every Australian – and it’s important to us that our people behind the parcels reflect the people receiving them. We come from all walks. Different backgrounds, different ages, different genders, different sexualities and different abilities, but we all believe in the same purpose.

We welcome people all ages, genders and backgrounds – including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability, LGBTQIA+ communities, and refugees. We’re a Disability Confident Recruiter, committed to making our hiring process and workplace inclusive and barrier-free. We’re also working hard to remove bias and build a gender-equitable experience for everyone who joins us. If you’ve got questions about accessibility, reach out to our Diversity & Inclusion team at inclusivecareers@auspost.com.au or on 03 8737 9415.
