Licensed Post Office Customer Service Officer

Park Ridge Licenced Post Office is looking for new staff member to join our friendly team. Customer Services Officers are members of the teams that work in our Post Offices, offering the full range of Australia Post products and services. We solve problems, find solutions, help out and pitch in – while always looking for ways to make our customers’ days too.

This is a casual position offering approximately 20–32 hours per week, paid at the applicable casual rate.

Working hours between Monday to Friday from 7:30am/9:00 am to 5:00pm. Saturday 9:00 am to 12:00pm.

The position is expected to commence on Monday 30th August 2026.

Park Ridge Licensed Post Office is a modern, fully air-conditioned retail store located in a local shopping centre in Park Ridge, a southern suburb of Brisbane.

About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Be friendly, energetic and committed to providing excellent customer service
  • Be a fast learner who is self-motivated and has a strong work ethic
  • Work well as part of a team and follow instructions carefully
  • Be physically capable of repeatedly lifting items weighing up to 16 kg
  • Hold a valid driver licence and be confident driving a van occasionally when required
  • Be willing to undergo a pre-employment national police check
  • Have full legal working rights in Australia

Previous experience working in a Licensed Post Office or Corporate Post Office is preferred but not essential. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sort and organise incoming and outgoing mail and parcels.
  • Perform customer sales and service transactions.
  • Accurately maintain a cash advance, including handling and processing cash, cheques, credit card and EFTPOS transactions.
  • Promote and process the full range of Australia Post products and services.
  • Promote products and services through up-selling, cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities.
  • Accept mail items for lodgement and accurately assess applicable postage and service charges.
  • Build positive and lasting relationships with customers by understanding and meeting their needs.
  • Assist with administrative and operational duties to ensure the efficient and successful operation of the Post Office.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and professional retail environment.
  • Comply with Australia Post procedures, security requirements and workplace health and safety policies.
  • Complete other general retail and post office duties as required.
